My favourite hike on the coast! Today we were craving a sunshine hike near the water and after a quick stop at for coffee we drove 40 mins up the coast to paradise. Francis Point is a 40 min round trip hike perfect for families with stunning views of the ocean and islands. .pub for lunch then back to the cabin for a hot tub and cosy night. We still have snow on the ground here in Tuwanek but the roads are clear and it’s a fantastic weekend for adventures.

Winter sunsets on the Sunshine Coast BC blow my mind. I grew up in the UK and these sorts of landscapes were only seen on postcards or David Attenborough documentaries. So when I experience these moments in time when the sun sets over the islands it reminds me how thankful I am to live here in BC.

No matter how busy I am I always try and make time for sunsets. This is the beach opposite our cabin but I also highly recommend Davis Bay for the most amazing sunset ever. Grab a drink or a coffee and enjoy.
