Wic-Can Fest

Wic-Can Fest Midsummer fest & Harvest Fest Annual gatherings. Bringing the Pagan community together to learn and grow Wic-Can Fest is hosted at Summer Solstice time.

Wic-can Fest is Canada's oldest and longest-running pagan festival since 1982. We are open to anyone who identifies with Wicca, Paganism, Druidism, Norse spirituality, Shamanism, Ceremonial Magic, Native American Spirituality, etc. Our events are ideal for connecting, sharing, learning, and networking with members and elders in good standing of various Pagan, Traditional, and Magical paths. Worksh

ops and activities are seasonally themed. At Harvest Fest, many of our festivities center around The Corn King, a huge man of straw and leaves and branches. Filled with our well wishes and thanks which we set ablaze during the festival’s main ritual. Harvest Fest is our time for giving thanks. A time of feast and fire. A time to honor the ancestors and our beloved Corn King one last time as the wheel turns once more. Both festivals boast an array of workshops, lectures, activities, music, rituals, and more! With things to do for all ages, we welcome you into our community! Come fill your bodies and souls with warmth, dance, music, and knowledge. Dance and drum your prayers and blessings towards the Old Ones. Create warm memories, and witness Nature in all Her glory. Registration price includes all activities, concerts, and lectures. Hearty home-cooked meals are available on-site for an additional fee. For more information, please visit us at wiccanfest.com !

✨ Blessed Midsummer Solstice to all who gather beneath the sun, the trees, and the turning wheel. 🌞🌿

May your fires burn brightly, your hearts remain open, and the warmth of this season stay with you long after the longest day has passed.

Merry Midsummer from all of us at Wic-Can Fest. ✨

✨ The final day of Midsummer has arrived… ✨
We know “fest head” is real, and while the village may not travel home with you physically, we hope its spark remains in your heart long after the fires have dimmed and the drums have quieted. 🔥✨

Thank you for gathering with us on this beautiful land beside these sacred waters — for lowering your guard, welcoming one another openly, and helping create a village where people could truly belong.

You belong here. 🌞

We look forward to welcoming you home again at Harvest Fest.

Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again. 🌙

✨ The third day of Midsummer rises with the sun… ✨

Today we gather in Coyote Field to honour Salix Sally at the height of the sun’s strength, celebrating the spirit of Midsummer beneath the open sky. 🌿🔥

The day continues with workshops, laughter, learning, and artistry — from learning how to truly dance around the bonfire, to exploring the fragrant mysteries of perfumery, to gathering dramatic inspiration (and perhaps future bardic schemes) in the drama workshop. 💫

And as twilight falls… polish your horns, fluff your wings, straighten your cloaks, and don your most magical attire for the Witches & Wizards Ball in Wildwood Hall. ✨

The evening will feature the enchanting sounds of Aphrodite Unbound, followed by the lively, toe-tapping — and let’s be honest, probably full-body-leaping — folk energy of Chris Devlin. 🎶🔥

Then, beneath the stars, the revelry continues with drumming, fire dancing, laughter, and midsummer celebration deep into the night. 🌙

✨ The second day of Midsummer unfolds… ✨

Today the village blooms a little brighter as we gather to adorn our beloved Salix Sally with ribbons, flowers, charms, and midsummer wishes beneath the trees. 🌿

Be sure to wander by the Kraken Kafe Afternoon Tea (spaces permitting), where treats, tea, and delightful company await, and keep an ear open for the joyful sounds of the Laughter Yoga workshop echoing through the village. 🌞💫

As evening approaches, the Bardic Competition calls forth the singers, storytellers, musicians, poets, and brave souls of the community. Who will deliver the most unforgettable performance? And more importantly… who has prepared the finest bribes for the judges? (Not that such things influence the outcome. Probably.) 🔥🎶

We’ll close the evening beneath the stars with a live concert by Aurorah, carrying us deeper into the magic of Midsummer night. ✨

✨ The first full day of Midsummer begins… ✨

Today the village truly awakens beneath the trees. 🌿 From morning until dusk, the day will be filled with workshops, conversations, crafting, music, movement, laughter, and the sharing of wisdom around every corner of the festival grounds.

As evening falls, gather with us for a live concert with Nelson Dennis, followed by a night of firelight, drumming, dancing, and revelry at the Main Fire. 🔥🥁

Or, for those seeking a quieter kind of magic, the Ember Hearth awaits with whispers, stories, songs, and gentle conversation beneath the stars. 🌙✨

However you choose to spend the night, the village is alive and the circle is open. 🌞

Registration is open from 10 am to 8 pm with 24 hour passes available!

✨ The gates are now open — welcome to Midsummer Fest! ✨

The village beneath the trees is ready to welcome you home. 🌿🔥 Please check in at the front gate upon arrival so our volunteers can guide you to your cabin, tent, or trailer space. (A gentle reminder that trailer space is very limited.)

And for those arriving with younglings: the Sapling Rest & Nest Tent will once again be set up near the main fire. Feel free to bring blankets, quiet toys, and cozy comforts for little ones to enjoy while families gather near the revel fire and festivities. 🌙✨

While this is not a supervised childcare space, it is meant to be a gentler little corner of the village where children can settle in, play quietly, and remain close to the heart of the gathering.

We are so happy you’re here. 🌞

✨ Final Packing Check Before Midsummer… ✨

Cloaks? Check.
Wands? Check.
Drums, horns, face paints, flower crowns, tea mugs, blankets, and mysterious forest trinkets? Check. 🌿🔥

The gates officially open Wednesday at 3 PM, and unfortunately even the most persuasive witches, wandering druids, and charming bards cannot be admitted before then while the village finishes awakening. ✨

And a gentle notice from the elderly cabins themselves: they are rather sensitive woodland beings, so please keep anything that burns — including incense, smoking, and vapes — outside the cabins. Your cooperation keeps both the cabins and fellow festival-goers happy. 💫

Now finish packing your magical necessities… we’ll see you beneath the trees very soon. 🌞

At Midsummer Fest, we ask all who enter the gates to help us create a space rooted in kindness, respect, consent, and community care. Beneath the trees, around the fires, and within the circle, we gather as one community — learning, celebrating, laughing, and looking after one another along the way. 🌿🔥

As part of registration, all attendees agree to abide by our Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Policy so that together we can help nurture a gathering where people feel welcome, safe, and free to be themselves. ✨

m✨ The Bardic Circle is calling… and now might be the perfect time to start plotting your masterpiece. ✨

Whether it’s a song, a poem, a tale, a bit of music, a dramatic reading, or something delightfully strange and difficult to explain afterward, on Friday night the Bardic Competition is your chance to step into the firelight and share your gifts with the village. 🌿🔥

You could simply improvise when inspiration strikes… but there’s no harm in preparing now for the performance of your lifetime. (Or at least a very memorable three minutes beneath the stars.)

And let us be honest: if too few brave souls answer the call, the board members may be forced to entertain the crowd themselves. While some might call this hilarious, others see it as “an avoidable outcome.” 💫

So dust off your instruments, polish your stories, rehearse your dramatic pauses, and prepare to charm the village beneath the midsumm

✨ The soundtrack of Midsummer is nearly ready… ✨

This year’s festival evenings will carry us from soulful melodies to soaring vocals, immersive soundscapes, and lively folk music beneath the stars. 🌿🔥

🎶 Thursday Night – Nelson Dennis
Bringing smooth, soulful musicianship and rich guitar-driven sounds to open the festival weekend.

🎶 Friday Night – Aurorah Live in Concert
A classically trained pianist, vocalist, percussionist, and composer weaving together powerful vocals, layered percussion, synthesizers, and electronic sound into immersive musical storytelling.

🎶 Saturday Night – Witches & Wizards Ball
Featuring Aphrodite Unbound followed by Chris Devlin performing high-energy Celtic-inspired folk songs from Ireland, Scotland, and Canada’s East Coast.

And throughout the daytime market, wandering musicians are warmly invited to share acoustic music with the village. Bring a song, an instrument, or simply your love of music beneath the midsummer sky. ✨
