We would like to inform our valued guest of a region wide power outage that will affect the Town of Smithers and other communities including Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge.

Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2026
Start Time: 10:00 PM
End Time: Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 4:00 AM (approx)

During this time, electrical services will be unavailable throughout the community and at the hotel. Our team will be available to assist you throughout the evening and will do everything possible to minimize the impact of this scheduled interruption.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as BC Hydro completes this necessary work to maintain and improve electrical service in our community.

At Prestige Hotels & Resorts, that means making thoughtful choices across all of our properties, including what you'll find in your bathroom.

We work with APOTHEKE, a woman-founded brand that started in a kitchen, to offer refillable dispensers of plant-based shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that are vegan, cruelty-free, and free of parabens and phthalates.

We also use FoxFold, a Vancouver-based company behind the world's first refillable facial tissue dispenser.

At Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke and Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm, guests also have the option to support ecosystem restoration through our partnership with Veritree. This includes planting kelp to support ocean health at Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke, or planting trees in British Columbia at Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm to help restore areas impacted by wildfire.

At the Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers we raised a total of $2,138.00 towards the $35,171.00 in total raise for JoeAnna's House!. Thank you again to everyone that was a part of this and helped make it happen!!

That amount exceeds last year's total by nearly $5,000 and is by far the most we've raised in the last 5 years.
