As your Cousin Eddie may have guessed, Schitterzful is an April Fools.
What’s not a joke are changes here in Red Bay.
We will not be opening our Restaurant as usual this 2026 Summer.
Rest assured that hot, delicious meals are always available during stays at Red Bay Lodge.
We have many exciting developments to share:
TIP FREE: We are transitioning to a 100% Tip Free Environment: Enough is Enough! YOU don’t need to pay our team extra to receive our best service.
FUTURE: We are in the beginning stages of a multi-year resort expansion converting our former Indoor Pool to a Wedding Banquet Space while adding Winterized Family Cabins for year round operation.
SHUTTLE: We’re adding EV Shuttles to bring hikers to The Bruce Trail or to pick up Red Bay Club Members & return them safely to their cottages at night.
GAME CAFE: We’re building a Games Lounge / Charcuterieia called BOARD in our Big Room. Featuring a big open space for kids to play & over 100+ Things To Do if you’re Board on the Bruce.
FOODTRUCK: We’ll be back, With WHEELS! Coming 2027 - 75% of our demand is for Hand Cut Fries, Beer Battered Fish or Big Juicy Wings!
Our Food Truck is purpose built to be quicker, more efficient, and ultimately less expensive than our sit-down dining experience, perfect for Lunches & Locals. Less waiting, less cost, same food, better experience.
We have an infrastructure, accessibility, landscaping, & lipstick list that’s a mile long, with many projects dependent on each other. With some short term disruptions, we’re going to bring the full vision to life.
With all of this in-mind, our 2026 Season will look significantly different from our previous with Limited-To-No Public Dining, No Walk-in Dining, No Group Dining or Events, No Takeout and a Short Operating Season.
We’ll be providing more information along with explaining about each decision along the journey.
For Returning Guests, Menu Availability & Service levels will meet or exceed your previous stays, with Full Service Tip Free Dining available at your convenience.
There will likely be a million questions, and I promise we will answer them all in due time, but this can answer a few!
