Sometimes, a review is so much more than five stars…
Today, we received a Google review that truly stopped us in our tracks. Matt and I both found ourselves tearing up as we read it.
When we created Cottages at Penny’s Cove, our dream wasn’t simply to rent cottages. We wanted to create a place where people could slow down, reconnect, laugh over card games, enjoy morning coffee on the porch, watch the sunsets, and leave feeling rested and refreshed.
Cottages at Penny’s Cove was created in loving memory of my mom, Penny. She taught us the importance of family, kindness and making people feel welcome. Our greatest hope has always been that every guest who stays with us leaves with beautiful memories of their own, just as we have so many cherished memories with her.
Then Carrie wrote this…
“We booked Cottage #4 (Sunshine Nook) and absolutely loved our stay! Cottages at Penny’s Cove is such a quiet, restful place to vacation. We especially loved the comfy porch and spent most of our days and early evenings out there—starting with morning coffee, moving to lunch, and finishing the day with playing cards…”
She went on to describe the comfortable beds, the thoughtful little touches, meeting other guests, and how it felt like a truly special getaway.
Reading her words was incredibly emotional because she put into writing exactly what we had hoped every guest would experience. There truly isn’t a greater compliment.
We feel incredibly humbled that all 31 of our Google reviews have been 5⭐️. Every single review represents someone who chose to spend their vacation with us and we never take that trust for granted. Your kindness, encouragement and support mean more than you’ll ever know.
To everyone who has stayed with us, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your memories. We are so grateful that the little dream we created in my Mom’s honour has become a place where others can make memories with the people they love.
