We have been freshening things up, with one major project to go!

Hello October!

Wow wow wow! What a season it has been!

This season brought us so many lovely guests—new faces discovering us for the first time, and returning friends who continue to make this place feel like home. Each shared story over breakfast, every laugh on the deck enjoying the view remind us why we love opening our doors season after season.

The slower season allows us to add a few special touches—whether it’s updating cozy corners or testing new recipes.

Truly grateful for your visits, your kindness, and the joy you bring into Cantwell House.

We still have a couple of weeks before we fully wind down. If you missed us this season, hopefully we’ll see you in 2026!

I never really share much about our actual guests.
Partly for their privacy, partly because I never actually remember to take photos.
But this summer just seems extra special.
There has been crazy amount of connections among guests. Unbelievable really.
Then 6 of these 8 people have been with me before.
2 had their very first B&B experience ever with me! And now, it’s how they try and travel.
2 are determined to get me to Denmark (twist my rubber arm)
2 tell me that I will never get rid of them
And the last 2. I know they’ll be back!

I never thought when I started doing this the impact I would have on peoples time here. Or how much some of them would fill my heart.

When people return to this house and tell me, I make them feel like they are coming home. That is a statement that makes me feel like I am doing something right!
It’s how I want everyone that walks through the door to feel. Like they are home!

This island is special, this house is special.
This industry is special.

Thank you will never seem like enuf.
