Tournament season is officially here at Lake Manitoba Resort, and we’re starting with our 3rd annual Senior Men’s 2 Man Scramble, proudly sponsored by Eugene Rioux owner of St. Laurent Home Hardware Building Centre. This is the first major tournament of the season and one that always brings out a great field. With over $10,000 in prizes, strong competition, great food, and the kind of tournament atmosphere LMR is becoming known for, this is the perfect way to get the season rolling.

Lake Manitoba Resort has built a reputation for exciting golf events that feel bigger than a regular tournament day. Great sponsors, full fields, big prizes, side games, clubhouse energy, and a course that gives every team a chance to make something happen. This is what tournament golf at LMR is all about.

This is only the beginning. We have a full season of events coming, including the return of the annual hits like the His & Hers, the Million Dollar Par 3 Challenge and our Men's Scramble. Today, we are proud to officially introduce one of the most exciting new features at Lake Manitoba Resort: the Par 3 Hole in One Challenge, made possible through the incredible support of J-Dek Construction and DSC Mechanical.

J-Dek Construction and DSC Mechanical each contributed $5,000 to help launch the jackpot and bring this new challenge to life. Their support has helped us create something unique, exciting, and built to become a signature part of the Lake Manitoba Resort golf experience.

The Par 3 Hole in One Challenge is a season-long golf challenge built around one simple idea: one swing, one shot, and one chance to create a moment people will be talking about all season. Our new 95-yard Par 3 has been designed specifically for this challenge, featuring an artificial tee and green, a great spectator area, and camera coverage to help capture the action.

Here is how it works. With every 9-hole green fee, $2.50 goes into the Hole in One Challenge pot, and the player receives one official shot at the challenge. With every 18-hole green fee, $5.00 goes into the pot, and the player receives two official shots. Additional shots can also be purchased at any time for $2.00 per shot.

When someone makes a hole in one, 80% of the jackpot goes to the winner, and 20% will be reinvested back into course enhancements at Lake Manitoba Resort.

This is not just another golf promotion. We wanted to build something different for our golfers, our guests, and everyone who comes out to enjoy the resort. It is fun, simple, exciting, and open to every player. You do not need to be a scratch golfer or a tournament player. You just need one good swing.

We believe this is one of the most exciting new golf experiences anywhere in the Prairies, and we cannot wait to see who steps up, takes their shot, and makes the first official hole in one.

The sun is finally shining, the golf season is underway, and after a brutal start to May, it finally feels like the season is starting to come alive at Lake Manitoba Resort.

We are kicking off a full week of updates with one of the best places to start: the restaurant.

Our restaurant is open to the public and ready to welcome golfers, resort guests, local residents, families, and anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed setting. Whether you are coming off the course, stopping in for lunch, joining us for supper, or grabbing takeout, we are excited to have the clubhouse active again as the season gets rolling.

Michelle and her team in the kitchen, along with our new serving staff, are ready to welcome everyone back and help make this a great season at the clubhouse.

Restaurant hours are:

Wednesday: 5:00PM to 10:00 PM
Thursday: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend at Lake Manitoba Resort

On Sunday, May 10th, we’re hosting our Mother’s Day Brunch Celebration. It’s set up to be relaxed and enjoyable, with a full buffet and a setting where you can sit back, take your time, and make it a proper day for Mom.

We’re offering three seatings so you can plan what works best:
8:45 am to 10:15 am
10:30 am to 12:00 pm
12:15 pm to 1:45 pm

The cost is $26 per person and $16 for children under 15. Reservations are required, so please give us a call at 204-646-2100 ext. 2 and we’ll get you booked in.

At the same time, the course is finally starting to wake up after a long winter. You can see it coming around, and it’s bringing that feeling that the season is right here again. Opening day is set for May 9th, just ahead of the weekend.

Tee times are now available online, so if you’re planning to get out for your first round, you can lock that in as well. It lines up for a great weekend where you can enjoy the start of the golf season and still make Sunday about Mom.

We’re looking forward to having everyone back out.

Sunday brunch is back at Lake Manitoba Resort this weekend, running from 10 to 2.

Winter’s decided to hang around a little longer, so it’s a good chance to get out of the house and into somewhere warm for a bit. We’ll have the buffet set with a full spread, eggs, bacon and sausage, hashbrowns and waffles, along with pasta, soup, salads and a good selection of pastries. It’s the kind of setup where you can build your plate the way you want, go back up for more, and just enjoy a proper meal.

It’s also a nice way to spend part of your Sunday, sit down, catch up, and be around a few familiar faces. Whether you’re coming in with family or meeting a couple people, it’s an easy, comfortable way to break up the weekend.

Back by popular demand, Craft Afternoon is back at Lake Manitoba Resort!

Join us Sunday, April 26th from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM for an afternoon of wine glass and coffee mug painting. Whether you come on your own or bring a group, it’s a relaxed, easygoing event where you can unwind and create something you’ll take home and actually use.

Everything you need is provided. No experience required.

We’ll also have our Craft Afternoon menu available throughout, featuring shareable favourites like loaded nachos, coconut shrimp, mozza sticks, deep fried pickles, pizza strips, and jalapeno bites, along with drinks specials to match. Set up to be a full afternoon, not just an activity.

$15 per person. Ages 8 and up. Additional glasses available for $5.

Weekend features at Lake Manitoba Resort

We’ve got a couple features this weekend that are worth getting out for.

Patty Melt
Double smash patties loaded with caramelized onions, melted cheese, smash sauce, mustard, and pickles on toasted bread served with our new onion rings. It’s rich, a little messy, and exactly what you want with a cold drink.

Creamy Salmon Dill Linguine
Salmon, fresh dill, peas, and roasted garlic in a smooth cream sauce, tossed with linguine and finished with parmesan. Served with garlic toast and done right.

Hole-In-One Challenge
The pot is now at $1,700!! Remember, each meal purchased on Friday and Saturday earns you 5 shots at the pot! The closest shot each night will earn five shots at the new "Hole In One Challenge".
