This will be Pat & Trish's last posting as Innkeepers at the Stone Maiden Inn. Today we hand the keys over to Tim Adlington & Johanne Marshall. They are excited to pick up where we have left off and continue to develop the traditions we have started at the Inn. If you are on our email list you will have received our farewell email. If not, here it is:
"Finally, after a long and cold winter, there actually seems to be the promise of spring in the air. Spring is a time of rebirth, as Mother Nature wakes up and tender plant shoots bravely push through the soil, animals wake from winter hibernation and migrating birds return.
Here, at the Stone Maiden Inn, there will be a kind of rebirth as well. After five years as “caretakers” of this beautiful Inn, today we will be handing over the keys and care of the Inn to new owners, Tim Adlington & Johanne Marshall. They are extremely excited to be taking over and continuing and developing the traditions that guests of the Stone Maiden Inn have come to expect. Like each generation of innkeepers here, they will also bring new innovations and improvements. We are very confident in handing the reigns over to them.
Our motto, “May all who enter as guests … leave as friends”, feels so true of so many of you, and it has truly been a privilege meeting you and getting to know you over the years. So, we are sad to be leaving the Inn, especially without being able to say a personal farewell to you. But we are also looking forward to the next phase of our lives and to see what it will bring. We know we will have more free time to spend with family and friends and we definitely hope to put some more miles on the Harley this summer. Initially, we will be living in Milton, which is about an hour southeast of Stratford. Think of us if you’re ever passing through!
Warmest Regards, Trish & Pat
