There is no divide between healthy and delicious when you focus on what’s real in food, cooking, the planet and humans. What a delight!

We're thrilled to welcome Joshna Maharaj, our Joseph H***e Gastronomic Writer-In-Residence (JHGWIR) for 2025, to Stratford this week. Joshna is a chef, speaker, author and activist who wants to help everyone have a better relationship with their food, and believes strongly in the power of chefs and social gastronomy to bring values of hospitality, sustainability and social justice to the table.

During her time here, our writer-in-residence will lead workshops about food writing, provide one-on-one consultations with students, partake of student chef dinners and more!
