Windmill Family Campground is fully booked this weekend and we are ready to welcome you to our Labour Day celebrations!

The Windmill Recreation Committee has a full lineup of events for all ages to enjoy this weekend.

Just a reminder that the Annual Car Show has been re-schedule to this Sunday, weather permitting.

Perfect for grilling on the bbq, we have yummy local farm fresh corn available for purchase in our Camp Store. Drop by and check out all of our treats and goodies that you may have forgotten to pack. We have you covered!

Scott and I want to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our campers and guests for what you did during and after the storm yesterday. Your kindness, thoughtfulness and offers to hep were greatly appreciated. That’s truly what a campground community is all about!

In advance, we want to thank you for your patience today as our Windmill crew and the Experience Camping team works together to clean up the grounds after the storm. You may hear the hum of power tools as we get everything back in shape and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Well that was a little bit of an unsettling few hours today. Momma Nature played havoc this afternoon at Windmill.

Scott and I wanted to let our Windmill campers know that although we lost some of our tree canopy at the park, all of our campers, fur babies and trailers are all good.

Happy Monday, Windmill Campers!!

On Saturday, at our Campers Meeting, campers discussed and voted on the charities and project to receive donations from the money raised at our Casino Night fundraiser. We are so excited to share the results! 🎉

Here’s how the $5,543.00 raised will be distributed:
🔥 Out of the Ashes — $1,385.75
🏠 Connection Centre – Homeless People Perth County — $1,385.75
💙 Thames Valley Children’s Centre – Hope Lives — $1,385.75
🎉 New Bingo Machine for Windmill — $1,385.75
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in Casino Night, volunteered their time, donated, and came out to the meeting on Saturday. Your support makes it possible for us to give back to some amazing causes while also making Windmill an even better place for everyone! ❤️

This week, the weather didn’t slow down mini putt play at the campground! Campers rocked their rain coats and rubber boots. It was awesome and made us smile!

The rain danced on the pool way too much this past week and although the multitude of rainbows were beautiful, we say enough rain! At Windmill, we fully embrace sunny skies!

Despite the anticipated weather, a throw together team accepted the invite and represented Windmill Family Campground at the first annual Family Paradise Corn Hole Tourney. And yes, they made us proud and brought home the trophy and medals. They are not nearly as heavy as our Special Olympian, AJ’s are, but they still embraced the championship title. The trophy is proudly displayed on the camp store shelf, along with the Camping in Ontario 2025 Best Store Award. Let’s bring home another award this year! Just a reminder that our Casino Night Charity Vote Meeting is coming up this Saturday, August 29th at 10:00 AM with the Windmill Campers Committee and the Park Managers.

Please come prepared with your ideas for some great charities we could donate to this year! We would really like to see some new charities this year, so please keep in mind that we are looking for organizations that we have not donated to within the last 3 years.
For reference, here are the charities we have donated to since 2023:

• London Down Syndrome Association
• Alzheimer’s Society
• Stratford Hospice
