Drive-Through Winterization Day is coming to Experience Camping!

Getting your RV ready for winter doesn’t need to take up your whole Saturday.

On Saturday, November 7, just pull in with your trailer, leave it hooked up, stay in your truck and enjoy your coffee while our team winterizes your RV.

At Windmill family Campground, we now call this tradition.

Scott and I, and our campers want to thank the Yearley family for sharing their pumpkin carving skills with us. I can guarantee you that this isn’t a skill set that I acquired!

Just so that you are aware, we now expect this … and anticipate this each Thanksgiving weekend.

Thank you for making the Windmill camp store so inviting!

The hours just seem to fly by when you are having fun at Windmill! I began this post early this morning and here we are … late afternoon!

Scott and I want to wish our camper friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. We want to take a moment to express our gratitude to everyone for all your kind words after the Campers Appreciation event last weekend.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have an opportunity to capture any photos of our 300 dinner guests, but we felt your presence.

Heartfelt thanks to Rachel from Stonetown Artisan Cheese, Grand Bend Stirling Sands and Ashley Giles and friends for making our event extra special. We can’t wait to welcome you back next summer.

On a side note, we heard from Stanley’s forever family today and he is settling in very nicely. I included a few photos of his happy place.

Who knew that a camping trip to Windmill Family Campground would lead to a fur-ever friendship. Make memories and leave with a little extra love!

Enjoy the beautiful fall sunshine as you gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving weekend.

Feel good story!

After living and loving his best life this summer; engaging with our cottage, cabin and Kindlewood Court guests, Stanley snuggled into the hearts of these campers this week and is headed to this forever home.

From the bottom of our hearts, we all thank you. Stanley will be warm, happy and loved this winter. Thank you for choosing Windmill Family Campground. Safe travels home! Enjoy your new furry friend! 🧡

What a beautiful day to celebrate another incredible camping season at Windmill Family Campground.

On behalf of the Experience Camping Team, as well as Scott and I, we would like to thank you with our Campers Appreciation event.

Grand Bend Stirling Sands and Stonetown Artisan Cheese will be on site today at 4 pm. Pop by the pavilion to sample and/or purchase your favourites.

Under the Experience Camping tent at 6 pm, enjoy musical entertainment provided by Ashley Giles and friends.

Turkey dinner service will begin at 5 pm. As a special thank you, we invite the Windmill Recreation Committee and all events/activity volunteers to join us at the beginning of service, followed by Windmill Drive and Crescent at 5:15 pm and everyone else at 5:30 pm.

If you are bringing a dessert or treat to compliment the meal, please drop it off at the pavilion at 4:30 pm. Thank you!

Don’t forget to pack your plate, cutlery and a beverage.

Experience Camping, along with Scott and I, want to thank you for another incredible summer experience!

For those signed up for the Camper’s Appreciation Evening on Saturday, October 03, 2026, we wanted to share a few more details.

If you would like to bring a treat to compliment our turkey dinner, campers are welcome to bring a small dessert. The main course will be provided.

Don’t forget to pack your plate, cutlery and maybe a cozy blanket!

If you are unable to attend the dinner, you are welcome to enjoy the other festivities.

Let’s hope that Mother Nature received this memo and blesses us with warm sunshine and clear skies.
