This November, we're welcoming two talented local artists to our Ballroom for a pair of festive Christmas workshops. Whether you're making something for your own home or creating a handmade gift for someone special, these evenings are all about slowing down and enjoying the season.

Thursday, November 19 | 6 to 8 pm
Summerland artist Greta Loeppky will introduce you to the colourful art of alcohol inks as you create two one-of-a-kind Christmas baubles and two handmade Christmas cards.

🌲 CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING WITH SIMPLY FLORAL
Thursday, November 26 | 6 to 8 pm
Join Sarah from Simply Floral as she guides you through creating a beautiful Christmas wreath, from the base to the finishing ribbon.
$90 per person

🍷 Both workshops include charcuterie and a glass of w**e to enjoy after you've finished creating.

Your next corporate gathering could help BC's forests grow again! 🌲

October is shaping up to be a busy month for corporate groups at Summerland Waterfront Resort, and we're excited to welcome teams who have chosen the Okanagan for their meetings and retreats.

There's still room for a couple more group bookings in November and December, and we're already booking into 2027!

🍂 TRAVEL TUESDAY: Take your Summerland getaway to new heights!

One of the best things about staying at Summerland Waterfront Resort is having so many wonderful outdoor adventures close by. And in the fall, few are as rewarding as a hike up Giant's Head Mountain!

This iconic Summerland landmark offers spectacular panoramic views of Okanagan Lake, the surrounding vineyards, orchards and mountains. It's a wonderful way to experience the changing colours of the season.

🥾 The hike is considered moderately challenging, with most routes taking approximately 1 to 1.5 hours round trip. For those looking for a shorter outing, there's also a road partway up the mountain, when open, leaving just a short walk to the summit.

Our suggested itinerary? Enjoy a leisurely morning at the resort, head out for a hike, explore downtown Summerland afterwards, then return to your lakeside suite to relax and enjoy the view.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Summerland Waterfront Resort! 🧡

This year, we have so much to be thankful for.

We're grateful for our incredible team, who bring warmth, care and hospitality to everything they do. For our guests, who choose to make memories with us and return year after year. For our neighbours and the Summerland community, whose kindness and resilience have meant more than ever this year.

And, of course, we're thankful for this beautiful place we get to call home, where the mountains meet Okanagan Lake and every season gives us something new to appreciate.

After the challenges our community faced this summer, we're especially reminded of how much it means to come together and support one another.

Halfway through the long weekend, and we're fully embracing the art of doing whatever makes you happy. 🍂

It's Sunday Funday here at Summerland Waterfront Resort, but that doesn't have to mean a packed schedule!

It might mean a leisurely morning, borrowing one of our complimentary cruiser bikes to explore Summerland, hiking Giant's Head Mountain to take in the sweeping views of the valley, or visiting the beautiful Summerland Ornamental Gardens to enjoy the fall colours.

Maybe it's a long soak in the hot tub, a peaceful walk along the lake, or stopping to watch the birds that call our waterfront home.

Sometimes the best part of a long weekend is having nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to do.

However you're spending your Sunday, we hope you're enjoying a little extra time to slow down, recharge and savour the moment.

🍁 Today's the day! Happy Thanksgiving long weekend from Summerland Waterfront Resort!

We're excited to welcome our guests for a Saturday filled with Okanagan w**e, live music, cozy fireside moments and a few extra treats.

Here's what's happening today, Saturday, October 10:

🍎 4–6 pm: Complimentary hot apple c***r in the lobby.

🍷 4–6 pm: Complimentary w**e tasting with Haywire Winery in the Ballroom. Stop by and discover some wonderful Okanagan w**es!

🎶 4:30–6:30 pm: Live music with Aaron Loewen in the lobby.

🔥 5–8:30 pm: Poolside fire pits. A lovely way to wind down after a day exploring Summerland.

Every activity is complimentary for our resort guests!

And don't forget, the c***r and fire pits continue Sunday evening, too.

Great conversations and fresh perspectives are happening in Kamloops today! 🌿

Our General Manager, Lisa Jaager, and Sales & Revenue Manager, Kristy Sing, are attending the 2026 Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) Summit, taking place October 7–8 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre.

Under the theme “Our Doors Are Open: The Confluence of People, Places, Possibilities,” tourism professionals from across the region are gathering to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and explore opportunities for the future of tourism.

For Lisa and Kristy, it’s a valuable opportunity to reconnect with industry colleagues, make new connections and bring fresh perspectives back to Summerland Waterfront Resort.
