Black Line & Spoon is a waterfront vacation rental in Sydney NS on the Mira River with a beach, dock, playground and 6 acres of beautiful grounds.

It is named after « Song for the Mira » a classic Celtic song written by Allister MacGillivray in 1973.

“We were looking for a place that was close to Sydney River that would accommodate four couples as we were going to a family wedding. We rented this property as it had four bedrooms and two full baths. We have to say, this property checked all the boxes for us and delivered on them and more. We felt right at home from the time we opened the door. The pictures are exactly how the place looks and the property is so peaceful. Have to say even the hide-a-bed was very comfortable. This property is less than 30 minutes to Sydney River and Fortress Louisburg. We even found a Christmas Shop that just opened in Marion Bridge. For anyone that loves Christmas, this shop will not disappoint. My husband and I both said we would love to rent this property again.” - Wanda

"This trip to our homeland, Cape Breton, from the mainland, was an extraordinary one as we were in town to lay my Dad to rest and officially celebrate his life. We expected it would be an emotional week so my brother and I (our families) wanted a place where we could retreat, reflect, remember, and spend some quality time together (without getting in each others' way :)). "The house was great, lots of space for all 5 of us to enjoy a relaxing weekend on the Mira. The property was amazing. The fire pit was great. On the third day it rained so it was great having the wood indoors. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quite spot on the river without being too far from Sydney. There’s a small grocery store/Gas station/NSLC that was less than 10 minutes away which was super convenient” - Peter
