This is a space where you can find your peace in your own beautiful cozy cottage while also being a short stroll away from the lake, boatin
g, beach volleyball, fine restaurants, and live music...best of all worlds and unsurpassed for all age groups. The cottage: Enjoy coffee on the deck in the morning while you soak up the sun, or cozy up in a rocker in the sunroom. Stroll down to the lake in the afternoon, or to the golf course in the next block over. Return to BBQ your steaks/relax on the patio/light a fire while the kids play in the large fenced yard, or try one of Sylvan's great restaurants with live jazz! On cooler days, play a board game, read a novel, or watch a movie by the crackling fire indoors. (Cable, wifi provided.) The second bedroom has a children's books and disney movie library/tv....great for chilling out at the end of a lake day. You will have a tot's wagon/sand toys to take to the beach....just bring your own beach towels and chairs. (Cottage is supplied with yard and beach toys, ladder golf, badminton, firepit with chairs, weiner stix, axe, start-up supply of firewood; in a spacious fenced back yard. All is provided so you can relax!!)
The Area: Sylvan Lake is Alberta's finest lake, and boasts a beautiful new waterfront walking boulevard lined with adirondack chairs, flower urns, and lanterns for evening strolls....astonishingly beautiful! There are expanded green spaces next to the lake, picnic tables and parking. We also have many superb music/jazz festivals throughout the summer (check with Town of Sylvan Lake), volleyball/ironman competitions etc, Western Canada's best summer hockey school and a new pool/rec center. We have a theater and bowling alley. From the cottage, you are within 2 to 3 blocks of a sandy beach, go-carts, boat rentals, unique shops, terrific restaurants (live music) and coffee houses. You are also central to many nearby attractions, fine golf courses, historic sites/points of interest, and just 15 minutes in to the city of Red Deer. Guest access
You will have the entire property to yourselves, a private fenced yard, beautifully landscaped and treed (a mix of sun and shade), fresh flowers, and a large deck with patio furniture and bbq. Startup supply of firewood is included. Main-floor laundry, cable and wifi are included. All linens, towels, paper products and soaps are provided. You will have off-street parking for 2 cars. Books, games, puzzles, yard, beach toys and tots' wagon are on site. Interaction with guests
I will be here to welcome/meet you when you arrive; please keep me updated on your arrival time (if it varies from the regular check-in time of 4 pm). Checkout is at noon. I will just ask you to call or text me when you are ready to leave. You are also welcome to contact me at any time during your stay; otherwise, you will have complete privacy. Other things to note
Check-in is 4 pm. I will try to meet you and welcome you; otherwise, we will arrange for keys. Keep me informed on your arrival time if other than 4 pm please. Check-out is at noon and you will need to call me when you are ready to leave! Cottage etiquette prevails regarding cleaning...Please leave it as you found it. If you wish cleaning services, let me know at time of booking and I will arrange it and offer you an adjusted rate. Please note:

- this is a quiet, family-oriented space. Quiet times prevail; partying/loud music/obnoxious behavior are not tolerated.
