What was once the old jail has been transformed into three beautiful, fully equipped suites at Tahsis Lodge & Marina. Whether you’re coming to town for a fishing trip, a family getaway, or just looking to spend some time on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island, we’ve got a place for you.

A little sunshine goes a long way in Tahsis

We had some great weather last week, clear skies and calm water along the waterfront while work carries on at Tahsis Marina & Lodge.

The West Coast does get its share of rain, so when a stretch of sunny weather like these rolls through, you sure notice it. It's hard to beat this corner of Vancouver Island on a good day.

We'll keep sharing updates as the lodge and marina come together. Lots to look forward to here in Tahsis.

Just another day on the Leiner River!

You never know what you’re going to come across out here on the West Coast. A bear doing its thing along the Leiner River is a pretty good reminder of just how wild and beautiful this part of British Columbia really is.

These photos were taken yesterday right here in beautiful Tahsis, and this is what makes living in and visiting this part of Vancouver Island so special.

From black bears fishing for salmon to towering forests, crystal-clear rivers, rugged mountains and the incredible waters of Nootka Sound, nature is never far away here. Sometimes, you don't have to go looking for an adventure it comes right to you!

Tahsis is tucked away on the west coast of Vancouver Island, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery BC has to offer. It's a place for fishing, boating, hiking, exploring and slowing down to appreciate the things that really matter.

And there's history here, too. Just around the corner is Yuquot (Friendly Cove), the birthplace of British Columbia, a place of deep cultural and historical significance to the Mowachaht/Muchalaht people and an important part of the province's early history.

We're proud to call this corner of the world home, and we'd love to see more people discover everything Tahsis and the Nootka Sound region have to offer.

Life on the west coast always comes with a few surprises, and today we were lucky enough to host one of Tahsis’ local residents for an afternoon rest by the water at TLM (Tahsis Lodge & Maria).

This beautiful black bear decided our waterfront lawn was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view before continuing on its way.

The transformation of TLM continues on the waterfront as construction of our brand-new Marina Office is moving ahead at an incredible pace.

With the structure now taking shape, it’s exciting to see the vision becoming reality. Every day brings us one step closer to creating a world-class marina experience that will serve both our local community and visitors exploring Nootka Sound and beyond.
