The Park Office is still in possession of 2x mobile devices that have been found or turned in throughout the course of the season. The Following Winter Closures Are Now In Effect:
Gate 5 (Island Connector), Gates 4 & 3 (Pavilion + Bird Sites Corridor), Full Service Stalls, and the Woodyard. Pedestrian access is permitted, with ample parking before the Island Gate for autumnal walks. Power Sites (30AMP) and Overflows (Boat Launch Road), as well as ATV Sites remain available for reservation until our scheduled full closure for Winter on October 12.

Please note our Woodyard is now closed for the Winter Season, re-opening Spring of 2027.

- Woodyard Now Closed for Season -
We have sold the last of our 2026 firewood bundle inventory and our woodyard has now closed. The woodyard will re-open Spring of 2027 for firewood sales. Thank you for a great season!

- Pavilion area and Full Service will close at 11AM Sunday September 27 for winter closure.
- All remaining park areas (Power Sites, Quad Sites, and Overflows) will close October 12, 2026 following check-outs.

- Update Sept 19: Woodyard Now Sold Out Until Spring 2027

- End of Season: Limited Firewood Supplies / Area Closures -
As the Park winds down and prepares for seasonal closures, Firewood inventory remains in limited availability [as supplies last]. Our final 30x bundles are available for purchase strictly through the office, for self-collection on a first-come-first-served basis until remaining inventory is depleted at which time our Woodyard will close for the 2026 Season. Please plan your upcoming firewood needs accordingly as the office may sell out. Inventory will be replenished in the Spring of 2027 as the Park prepares for its seasonal opening.

Area Closures:
The Island gate will close at 11AM Sunday September 20 following check-outs. Vehicle access to this area will not be possible following scheduled gate closures.

Our nature trails have been groomed for peaceful walks, while our Quad Sites and Island Sites are well known to display the best autumnal views: perfect for hosting large family gatherings. Several Quad Sites still remain available for the Thanksgiving long weekend! For end of season availability, please visit www.letscamp.ca or contact the Park Office to assist with your getaway booking.

Peace Island Park will close in sections for the 2026 season to facilitate park updates and closure duties. A full list of dates is as follows:
Island Gates: September 20th following last check-outs

- Special Noise Bylaw Exemption: September 12, 2026 -
Please be advised of the following area buy-out and special noise exemption policy granted by the District of Taylor scheduled for today September 12, 2026: Pavilion Area + All Bird Sites [Gates 3&4]. The noise bylaw for Peace Island Park has been extended to 1AM this evening for the area buy out package.

For interested special event organizers desiring more information related to Park Buy-Out packages, fees, parameters, or exemptions, please contact the District of Taylor Community Services at 250-789-2828 who will be happy to assist you with your Event Planning needs.

- Campground Etiquette: Unoccupied Stalls -
To ensure effective operations of the campground, please refrain from utilizing unoccupied sites as visitor or additional vehicle parking without first reserving them as these sites may be expecting inbound arrivals. This includes hosting additional visitor vehicles in single occupancy sites (such as Full Service stalls, and most power sites) in excess of maximum limitations (where parking will either obstruct emergency personnel access, obstruct roadways, or impact neighbouring sites). Overflow parking, playground parking, and the boat launch are available for visitor day usage, and is the proper campground etiquette.
For individuals hosting large events, we recommend reserving group sites which can safely accommodate additional visitor vehicles, or using available day use parking listed above.

- Firewood Bundles Now Back In Stock -
Park staff were hard at work this morning replenishing Firewood Bundles for purchase. Bundles are now back in stock! Our bundles are 10.00 each, purchased via the Park Office - the office accepts cash, debit, and credit card.
Courtesy wood sale rounds will re-commence this evening - please note we do not have a portable debit machine and courtesy round sales are cash only.
