Due to the Extreme Forest Fire Hazard Rating, the Municipality of Temagami has issued a TOTAL FIRE BAN effective 12pm on June 3 2026.

Under a fire ban, all burning permits are suspended, and all open-air fires are prohibited, including fires for cooking and warmth. Persons must make alternate provisions for cooking and warmth, such as using propane stoves or charcoal burners intended for that use.”

It’s been a bit quiet around here because we have been SO BUSY getting everything ready behind the scenes. We spent a lot of the shoulder season sprucing up the cabins with new paint, new lighting and some fresh decor! We also have new taps and shower heads being installed in the next couple of days when things quiet down a little bit.

We also got all new lighting in the lodge building last week so now you will be able to see what you are doing in the games room at all times of day!

The next step is to paint the exteriors of the cabins and we found the perfect colour to do that. Can anyone guess what colour we chose 🤔?

It’s been a busy few weeks but we are looking forward to sharing all of our updates and we have a few additional exciting things to share in the next couple of weeks!

We picked up our boat from yesterday and we are so impressed with the new canvas top! Our old top was disintegrating and the windows were permanently fogged so it was time for an update!

If you need any canvas work done or are looking for a new canvas top we highly recommend checking Lavignes out! They are professional, knowledgeable and the prices are manageable. They also had our boat in and out in less than 48 hours.

Now we wait until the ice goes out and we can put this new top to the test!

Here is the annual reminder that Ket-Chun-Eny is a play on “Catching Any?”

The stories we hear about people driving by for years and never figuring it out will always make us giggle. And although we debated changing the name to something…easier we ultimately decided to leave it unchanged since it is pretty iconic! 💫
