Today, we honour the children who never came home, the Survivors who carry their stories, and the families and communities forever impacted by the residential school system.

On this day of remembrance, we pause to listen, learn, reflect, and recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to continuing this work—not only today, but every day.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

For our pickle ball lovers so far. A light got installed for those evening match ups. Hope you all order your paddles for next season as we can see tournaments happening.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the memory of September 11, 2001 remains.

Today, we remember the people who lost their lives, the families who endured unimaginable loss, and the heroes whose courage brought hope in the darkest moments.

May we continue to honor their lives by remembering not only the tragedy, but also the compassion, resilience, and unity that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🕊️

Mid-July on the lake is something else.
The days are long, the water is warm, and Kab Lake is doing what it does best - giving people a reason to put the phones down and stay a little longer.
Whether you're planning a family trip, a fishing weekend with the crew, or a few quiet days at The Bear or The Chipmunk, there's still time to make it happen this month.
Don't let July get away from you. Reserve your spot at kablakelodge.com.

A stunning July evening

To all our American friends celebrating this weekend — we might be just across the border, but the walleye don't care what day it is.
Some of our most loyal guests come from the U.S. Midwest, and we're glad they found their way to Northwestern Ontario. There's always a spot for you at the dock.
Happy Fourth of July. Hope it's a great one. 🎉

There's no better place to celebrate Canada than right here in the heart of Northwestern Ontario.
A lake that stretches as far as you can see. Crown land in every direction. A fishing line in the water and nowhere else you'd rather be.
Happy Canada Day from all of us at Kab Lake Lodge. This is what we're celebrating.
