Last Wednesday was a very special day at n̓ačiqs.

We gathered with community to celebrate the grand opening of Tofino Wildpods and a new chapter for the property as a Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation-owned and operated business, now operated by Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who joined us to celebrate, gather together, and mark this important moment with the Nation.

A huge ƛ̓eekoo ƛ̓eekoo to Elder kaamatḥ Levi Martin for leading the ceremony, and to t̓ap̓atc̓umaʕuk Luke MacDonald for his guidance throughout this special day. ƛ̓eekoo to ḥaw̓iiḥ hiiškʷiisinapšiił Alex Frank for his presence, and to Chief Councillor ḥayusinapšiił Elmer Frank and Councillors šiiča Terry Dorward and ƛaʔuuk Gisele Maria Martin for sharing their words and leadership with us.

To everyone who helped bring this gathering together, and everyone who came to celebrate alongside us: ƛ̓eekoo ƛ̓eekoo (thank you).

We are incredibly excited for what is ahead for Tofino Wildpods as part of the Tsawaak family, and grateful to begin this next chapter together.

Our new Tofino Wildpods landing page is now live.

A place to get to know our six oceanfront domes, learn more about the experience, explore each pod, and find everything you need to plan your stay.

This new online home is another small step in the next chapter of Tofino Wildpods. Set along the shoreline in Tla-o-qui-aht ḥaḥuułi (territory), Tofino Wildpods offers space to slow down, watch the harbour change, and experience the west coast from the water’s edge.

A new chapter begins.

Join us on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. as we gather at Tofino Wildpods to celebrate its opening as part of the Tsawaak family and a Tla-o-qui-aht-owned and operated business.

Together, we'll mark this meaningful milestone, and we warmly welcome our community to join us.

Please note that onsite parking will be unavailable during the ceremony. We encourage guests to walk, bike, or carpool where possible.

The Tla-o-qui-aht Development Corporation and Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground warmly invite community members to join us on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. as we celebrate the opening of Tofino Wildpods and the next chapter of this business as a Tla-o-qui-aht-owned and operated tourism experience.

The ceremony will take place at Monks Point (174 West Street, Tofino) and will include a traditional welcome, and the opportunity to gather together as a community. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

To support Elders who would like to attend, a shuttle will be available from the Co-op Grocery Store waiting area, with transportation provided to and from the Wildpods property.

We are honoured to welcome you as Tofino Wildpods begins a new chapter under the operation of Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground.

Located along the harbour at Monks Point in downtown n̓ačiqs (Tofino), our six oceanfront domes offer a quiet place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the ever-changing rhythm of the coast.

While returning guests will recognize the Wildpods they know, this is just the beginning. Over time, the property will thoughtfully evolve to reflect Tla-o-qui-aht language, culture, values, and connection to place. We look forward to sharing this journey with you as we continue to grow.

THANK YOU so much to all our amazing guests for another incredible year! We have been a little quiet on social media while we had an amazing first year with our precious twins that have become such a beautiful part of our expanding family. We are so grateful for our guests, our family and for the wonder that is living in Tofino and being able to share our magical corner of the world with our WILDPOD guests.
