One of the most common questions we hear is: Is Freemasonry a religion? The answer is no.

is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for one. Instead, it encourages members to be active in their own faith traditions while remaining open and respectful toward the beliefs of others.

At the same time, Freemasonry requires its members to believe in a "Supreme Being." Masonic traditions include references to God, sacred texts, and moral teachings, which often leads people to wonder how Freemasonry relates to religion.

On our website, we explore this topic through one of Masonry’s central concepts: the Supreme Architect of the Universe: https://freemason.org/what-is-freemasonry/is-freemasonry-a-religion

Truth may sting, but lies deceive,
The bravest souls choose to believe.
Face what’s hidden, let wisdom start—
For truth brings freedom to the heart.

Deepest condolences on behalf of the Weston Freemasons.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of longtime Weston Minor Coach, Sandy Ross.

Coach Sandy was a mainstay at Weston Lions Arena for over 50 years - from the bench, to the ice where he taught hundreds of youth how to skate, to behind the Snack Bar, where he served the best famous fries.

This is a huge loss for our Weston Minor family, as well as the community of Weston. Small Fries won't be the same without him, but we'll do our best to honour his legacy

For those interested in reading more about his life or visitation information, please see here: https://www.wardfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/sandy-ross

Our hearts are broken. Please join us in keeping the Ross family in your thoughts.
