Common Thread at Gladstone Hotel

If you have not checked out our installation at the Gladstone Hotel You still have until April 11, 5 pm to see it on the 3rd floor!

As the installation is in it's final weeks of display we are left with a lot of yarn on our hands. The yarn is an incredible material and an engineering and sustainable gem produced by Interface, one of the leading companies in carpet business today. It is made out of recycled fishing nets with brilliant colours that never fade. We would like it to have another life beyond this installation

If you are an artist, designer or someone who loves working with yarn, or know someone in the textile industry, we are looking to donate the yarn used in our installation. If you are interested please email us at:

If you are looking to escape the frigid cold outside why not come inside and see some art!?

Visit Gladstone Hotel 3rd and 4th floor exhibits which are extensions of Come Up To My Room 2015. Our Common Thread exhibit on the second floor will be up until April 10th and features ancient craft of carpet weaving juxtaposed with its current state of sustainable materials and machine production.
