Nestled within five picturesque acres in Prince Edward County, these five charming waterfront cottages are the perfect escape (as well as, the perfect home base whilst you explore The County).

Each cottage boasts its own unique personality, featuring cozy nooks and stunning views of lake.

The surrounding area is dotted with delightful local wineries, micro breweries, cideries, artisan shops, and some fantastic eateries.

The cottages are well equipped with your pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. All that we ask is that you bring bottled water for drinking ( water sourced from the lake and passes through a UV system - so okay to bathe, brush teeth and cook).

We'll provide light summer duvets and pillows - you need to bring your sheets and towels

We'll supply the propane for your BBQ, TP, hand and dish soap.

The pool is shared by all cottagers and the Big House. All the watercrafts ( 2 paddle boards, a kayak, a paddle boat and a couple row boats -if you want to get some fishing done) are available for your use on a first come first serve basis.

We have been visiting Vagabond Cove Cottages for 5 years now. We started at the Clear Water cottage with myself, wife and 4 year old grandson. It was a great experience just after COVID. Beautiful cottage, friendly owners, lots of fun including the pool and watersports and fishing available. Quiet, family oriented.

We had to move on as the grandson grew to be 10 years old, we had more family members, and this year our grandson's childhood friend spent the week with us. We now book the Snuggle Inn always, it suits our family perfectly. Our 2nd year in the Snuggle Inn and it is just what we need. Lots of room for growing children and family fun. I bought a bike rack for our vehicle specifically for this vacation and brought my bike (i'm an avid cyclist) and for the grand son's bike. We did our best to teach him to ride on the grounds of Vagabond Cove Cottages. I so much enjoyed riding my bike in the area. There are so many beautiful bike options in the area, and fishing, boating, exploring. We counted. Our grandson went swimming in the lake and pool no less than 23 times over our 6 day stay. That says something about child and family friendliness. It is very family friendly, no matter how young or old your family, or yourself.

And our grandson and his friend Nathan are firm in their belief that Kevin the Lake monster patrols the area, with great thanks to Robert and Paula for keeping little boys imaginations engaged and excited.

The Big House on Smith's Bay - Sleeps 12

The moment we walked into the Big House on the lake we knew it was perfect for our family get away! The house was very clean, roomy and large and more than accommodated our family of 9. It was modern and very well equipped with everything (and more) we needed for our 5 night stay. The owners were close by on the property and were quickly and very responsive to any requests (a high chair, a long rope for our dog, life jackets and water crafts ... even delivered fire wood to our fire pit!) Being right on the water was lovely, plus the outdoor space was huge and well manicured and maintained. Our three little grand daughters loved playing on the grass as well as on the swings and playground equipment. We really appreciated the passes for Sandbanks as well as the recommendations for things to do and see in the county

We are accepting bookings for 2027
Nice large homes are in great demand
