The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) provides many different services, including solid waste services, to 32,000 residents in the incorporated local governments of Midway, Greenwood, Grand Forks, Rossland, Warfield, Trail, Montrose and Fruitvale. The District also includes the unincorporated areas of Big White, Beaverdell, Bridesville, Westbridge, Rock Creek, Jewel Lake, Christina Lak

e, Genelle and Beaver Valley. All residents use landfills located at McKelvey Creek (Trail), Grand Forks, West Boundary (Greenwood) and Glenmore Landfill operated by the City of Kelowna. submit Solid Waste Management Plans to describe how they intend to manage and reduce the municipal solid waste created by residents. This page is intended to be a public consultation tool to communicate and interact with residents about future solid waste facilities and programs including:
* waste transfer stations,
* tipping fees and taxation
* organics diversion programs
* interaction with provincial stewardship recycling programs
* management of solid waste at seasonal resort areas
* determine performance metrics to track service efficiency

We invite residents to participate in this process so that we can evolve a waste management system that is both accountable and responsive to the needs of the regional community.
