⚠️AVALON TRAFFIC DELAYS⚠️
(June 21st)

~ 3:00 p.m; There is significant traffic delays, which is causing traffic to be backlogged in numerous areas on the Northeast Avalon.

There is currently ongoing construction at the TCH and Foxtrap interchange, which currently has westbound traffic slowed and eastbound traffic, heading in towards the St. John’s metro area backlogged for kilometres.

A collision between Butter Pot and Witless Bay Line, heading westbound also slowing traffic; however work is underway to clear up this Incident at this time.

Thirdly, Due to ongoing construction, significant traffic delays are occurring on Conception Bay Highway between Holyrood and Seal Cove.

BEST ROUTE FOR MOTORISTS:
Anyone planning to travel into the St. John’s metro area is recommended to travel Witless Bay Line and head north onto the Southern Shore Highway.

Join us at the Old Bonaventure Heritage Centre on June 14, 2026 at 1 pm as we celebrate our first event of the season with an authentic “Taste of the Sea” followed with a lively "Newfoundland Kitchen Party".

Guests will enjoy a delicious taste of traditional Newfoundland dishes inspired by the rich fishing heritage of our province including Crab, Cod and much more, followed by an afternoon filled with local music, laughter and community spirit.

Gather with friends and family to welcome the summer in true Newfoundland style as we share the flavours, sounds, and traditions that make our outport culture so special.
