Can't even begin to imagine what these families are going through
We feel for many today..it is mixed with a feeling of sadness, gratitude and almost relief. Relief that the family of Terry-Lynn Keddy will have some semblance of approaching closure. Gratitude for all the First Responders from near and far, who dropped everything in their lives to help look for her and the others for over a week. Found almost 100 kilometers from her last known location, with a likelihood of her being found in the 5% to 7% range. Searcher remorse is a real thing..."could we have looked at another location and found her", "did we go deep enough" ... will always be engrained in the minds of many if the remaining person was never found. Sadness for the man who was looking for his dog in Advocate Harbour area and located Terry-Lynn. This will no doubt be with him for the rest of their life and I hope he understands that this discovery, a sad and upsetting moment, will be so meaningful to so many people and that we are ever so grateful that he was there at that place and time. Thinking of all involved and reflecting on the past 9 days as I walked similar shores today, with my dog, not far from Advocate Harbour today near Parrsboro.
May they all now, be laid to rest:
