The Palliser Restaurant, Gift Shop & Motel

The Palliser Restaurant, Gift Shop & Motel The restaurant has been close since 2011. This is for former employees and customers to reunite. The Palliser Restaurant was built in 1953.

In 1969, owners, Allan & Keltie Bruce took over, after Allan's father passed away suddenly. It ran every year from the end of April to the middle of October for 42 years. In 2011, owners Allan and Keltie decided the close down and retire. Over the years, many guests stayed in motel and ate in the restaurant, including Canadian Prime Ministers Pierre Trudeau and John Diefenbaker. The 10-acre proper

ty located on the Bay of Fundy includes a 42-room motel, 120-seat restaurant, gift shop and interpretive centre, has now been purchased by Colchester County. Plans are to turn it into a tourist spot. Local tv show "The Trailer Park Boys" used the motel in 2014 for fliming Season 9 of their show. The property has been turned into the Fundy Discovery Site, a playground for children. Visitors can still park and view "The Bore". Washrooms and trash cans available on site.
