Relax in nature while watching the sun set on a quiet, private pond. There is no swimming or fishing in the pond .This off the grid cabin is located ten minutes from Moira Lake in Madoc and Stoco Lake in Tweed. The cabin is suitable for up to 4 guests with a king and queen bed. Best Suited for a couples or family of four. Freshly washed linens are provided.

Please keep in mind this is an older all wood cabin with plywood floors. The space:
*Electricity is provided by a generator, so you must be comfortable starting a generator. The host will give detailed instructions upon check-in.
**The cabin is heated by a wood stove, so guests need to be comfortable and knowledgeable on running a wood stove. Detailed instructions will be given by the host when checking in as well as written instructions. Wood is included, but please be mindful of usage. The kitchen has all the necessary wares for cooking a meal with a propane stove or BBQ outside and a small propane fridge inside. There is a television in the cabin as well with satellite service. The tv is only on while the generator is running. The cabin has plywood floors. I suggest slippers or indoor shoes. There is running water in the cabin *during the summer months*. Drinking water will be supplied. The bathroom is located in the cabin, and there is an OUT door open shower that has on demand hot water. PLEASE be mindful of water usage. Guest access:
Guests can access the cabin by vehicle with parking space available at the site. Please come to our house, and you will be escorted onto the property by the host. The cabin is located approximately 1 km back into the property. The road is accessible to all vehicles. Guests will have full access to cabin and surrounding area. Other things to note:
The cabin is heated only by wood stove. Guests should be comfortable using this method of heating. The host will give detailed instructions on running the stove upon check-in. There are also written instructions to refer to. This cabin is totally off grid and powered only by generator and some batteries. Lights are powered by the generator. Guests should be knowledgeable with starting the generator, but the host will be available by phone call or text anytime to assist you. The host will give detailed instructions on starting the generator upon check-in.
*Due to the off grid nature of the cabin, the pump for running water will be disconnected, and there will be NO running water to the camp during cold winter months. The host will provide plenty of clean wash water as well as water to flush the toilet*
The cabin is roughly 1 km into our property. The road is easily accessible to all vehicles. Depending on the condition of the road during spring melt, four-wheel drive vehicles may be necessary. The host is available to take you in or out when necessary, and you can leave your car safely parked at the hosts house. Gas, propane, and firewood will be provided by the host. This site is pet friendly.- please clean up after your pets
**remember, no ice is safe ice! Even in the cold weather, the frozen pond can be dangerous. We do not encourage guests to venture out onto the pond. Proceed at own risk**
