Roses are blooming at Prime Berth Historic Fishing Centre, Main Tickle, Twillingate Island. We called our place The Prime Berth , in honour of all the fishermen who gathered in our kitchen back in the 1950's for the annual Cod trap Draw and everyone wishing , when they drew from the brown paper bag which Father passed around, it would be the best, or "Prime Berth". We have 8 different buildings filled with fishing artifacts, 3 of the buildings being 100 to 150 years old, plus the only fully articulated Sei whale skeletons in Canada, as far as I am able to determine. And an iceberg gallery with 200 of my favorite captures continuously playing on a TV screen. Most days open from 10 to to 4. As usual, click for best view.
