Cute story on how our name came to be

Little known fact, the name for my parents cottages Summer Spirit Cottages - PEI was created by my daughter 4 years ago. Here is the story that inspired it all.
My daughter came up with a term that I think needs to be shared....
She was staying the night at my parents house and the kids were playing in the sprinkler while the adults watched nearby.
Ariya then asked her grandparents to join her “Be a summer spirit, Guk” (Guk is her name she created for my mother, her grandmother). How could you say no to that?
I asked her the next day what it means to be a ‘Summer Spirit’ and she said
“A summer spirit plays in the sprinkler and has fun all day”.
We talked some more and expanded on the definition together cause I was so intrigued by the idea of a 'summer spirit' I needed to know more. Here is our collaborative definition of a summer spirit.
A summer spirit is a person who embodied the spirit of the summer. They find ways to incorporate nature and fun into their everyday lives. The lines between work/play are blurred. Routines are... relaxed. A summer spirit:
- Has ice cream before bed
- Spends most of their time in either their bathing suit or PJ's
- Has hat hair more often than not
- Swims, swings, skips rocks
- Picks wildflower bouquets, wild strawberries and blueberries
- Looks for sea-glass, fireflies, butterflies, and 4 leaf clovers
- Eats dessert whenever the opportunity presents itself
- Stops and smells the roses, and breathes in the scent of fresh cut grass
- Says hello to strangers
- Has campfires whenever possible
- Drives with the windows down, even when there is air conditioning.
