We’ve put together a few of our favourite things to see and do this fall in Vancouver. Some just steps from the hotel, and others well worth venturing a little further for.
Walk or bike the seawall, spend an afternoon surrounded by art, make a night of the symphony, or see the forest in a whole new light after dark.
Staying with us this fall? Save our Vancouver guide for your visit.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge
Take in the changing colours by day, or see the forest come to life after dark. The complimentary shuttle right outside the hotel makes getting there easy.
Canyon Freights: October 9 – November 1
Spooky lights and playful surprises transform the rainforest for Halloween.
Canyon Lights: November 20–January 10
Millions of twinkling lights illuminate the bridge and surrounding rainforest.
- Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
Dress up, make a night of it and enjoy an evening of live music at the historic Orpheum. From classical favourites to contemporary performances and special guests, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s fall season offers plenty of reasons to spend an evening downtown.
- Vancouver Art Gallery
Spend an afternoon exploring one of Vancouver’s leading cultural spaces, right in the heart of downtown. This fall’s exhibitions include Emily Carr’s That Green Ideal, Future Geographies, Sanctuary: The Ancient Forest Experience, and Vancouver Now! Emily Hermant, alongside highlights from the Gallery’s permanent collection.
- Stanley Park
Walk it, bike it, take your time. Follow the seawall from Pan Pacific Vancouver into Coal Harbour and Stanley Park for waterfront views, changing leaves and one of the best ways to experience Vancouver on a crisp fall day.
- Astra Lumina at Stanley Park
Beginning this October, Stanley Park transforms after dark with Astra Lumina, an immersive one-hour night walk through nine themed areas of light, sound and imagination. Expect illuminated pathways, 360° installations and hundreds of dancing lights, all set to an original soundtrack.
- FlyOver Canada
Just steps from the hotel at Canada Place, FlyOver takes you on an immersive flying journey over some of Canada’s most spectacular landscapes. With your feet suspended in front of a giant curved screen, motion, wind, and special effects make it feel like you are actually flying.
