Howes Lake “Lake House”

This lake house upper level features 2 bedrooms, plus a bunkie, and comfortably sleeps 4-6. It is situated on 2.4 acres and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time away from city life and your busy schedule. The beach area offers a large sandy shallow area ideal for small children. At the beach it will be hard to choose between napping in the lakeside hammock, or sunbathing on a chair in the shallow warm water. Although it’s not suitable for dock swimming due to the w**ds further out, it’s a great place for dock fishing, canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. A quick paddle past the w**d area provides ideal swimming for adults. Docking is available for small fishing boats. Enjoy games on the large yard adjacent to the beach or take a short walk through the woods. As the day ends enjoy the specular sunsets while the kids roast hotdogs and marshmallows……- a wonderful way to end your day.

Note: The Lake House is not handicap accessible. There is a flight of stairs down from the parking area to the upper level as well as two flights of stairs down to the beach.

Howes Lake
Howes Lake is 153.8 hectares (1.5 square kilometres) with a maximum depth of 39’. Fish off the dock for your supper. Major lake species include: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bluegill, Black Crappie and Yellow perch. A boat launch is available in Verona approximately 15 minutes from the lake house by land or by water.
