Reflecting back on summer at Grey Buffalo Grandfather Wellness Lodge. Coffee outside on a sunny morning, a good breakfast, and time spent together. Sometimes, it’s the simple moments that stay with us.

As the seasons change, we’re grateful for this space to slow down, connect with the land and enjoy each other’s company. Thank you to everyone who made the Lodge part of their summer.

Every Child Matters.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour Survivors and their families, and hold our children and community close.

At Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, we see the care our community has for one another every day. In the teachings shared by Elders, the pride of young people connecting with their culture and the relationships that bring us together.

Every child deserves to feel that care. To know they are loved, to be proud of who they are and to grow up knowing they belong.

Taking Truth to Action means carrying what we learn into how we treat one another, how we support families and how we make room for Indigenous voices to be heard and respected.

As we reflect today, let’s think about what each of us can carry forward. Our children deserve that commitment, today and every day.
