For the fourth year in a row, Victoria has been named the best small city in the world in Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

Nearly 800,000 travellers took part in this year’s awards, with BC’s capital coming out on top against some pretty impressive international destinations, including San Sebastián, Spain and Venice, Italy.

The publication highlighted many of the things that make our corner of the world so special, from the scenic ferry ride to Vancouver Island and Victoria’s historic downtown to the Fairmont Empress, afternoon tea and easy access to the Island’s forests and coastlines.
