Here’s a look at what’s new:
The Hallway Upgrade: Added a crisp slate-blue board and batten wall treatment paired with classic honey-bee artwork for a warm, welcoming hallway.
Breezy Dining Room: Styled a playful, floating plate gallery wall in shades of blue and white to bring a touch of vintage charm and movement to dining moments.
Laundry Room Refresh: Ditched the clunky bifold doors to create an open, functional nook equipped with a built-in folding counter, chevron wood storage, and open design shelving.

It seems the secret is officially out: the Family Cottage at Horner Park is the ultimate cozy getaway—and not just for humans!
Lately, we’ve found ourselves naturally leaning into a bit of a bird theme around the Family Cottage. But our latest addition wasn't thrifted at the local shop; she flew right in and claimed the best seat in the house. A sweet local bird has officially taken up residence and built her nest right inside our hanging geranium basket! 🌺🌸
If you’re staying with us soon, you’ll get a front-row seat to nature's magic. We just ask our guests to give our feathered co-host a little bit of space so she can tend to her eggs in peace.

There’s nothing quite like walking into a space and instantly feeling welcome. For every guest who stays with us at Family Oasis at Horner Park we love leaving a little piece of our home and community behind to greet them:

Island adventures for us, chicken duty for our amazing Swiss guests! 🌲✨
A massive thank you to Henry and his wonderful family for holding down the fort this weekend at Garden Cottage & Bunkie at Horner Park. They kept our flock happy and harvested the eggs while we were out enjoying the beauty of Vancouver Island. We couldn’t have asked for better helpers and guests! 🇨🇭🐔🥚

After sightseeing this weekend, our guests got to experience the perfect home-away-from-home, staying at the Garden Cottage and Bunkie at Horner Park. Having that cozy, private oasis to retreat to after long, hot days of exploring made the whole weekend feel incredibly seamless and relaxing for both the guests and hosts alike.
