Reminiscing on the breakfasts we used to serve in our B&B

Florida and California are in the house! Our scrambled egg, smoked salmon and asparagus croissant are being enjoyed. The cinnamon buns and fresh fruit salad led the way. We always serve fresh ground coffee because life is too short to drink mediocre coffee. Happy Sunday everyone.

Our property has been sold and the new owners will not be operating the B&B. It has been a wonderful experience meeting all of our guests from around the globe. We made many new friends and we thank you for visiting our corner of the world. As we close our doors, we are thankful for the opportunity and God's blessing.

5 for breakfast this morning. Strawberries and cream and my own recipe for bran and banana muffins started things off. Main course this morning is baked blueberry french toast. I wish you could smell our kitchen right now. Heavenly!!

As our busy season winds down and Canadian thanksgiving is on the horizon we are pausing to give thanks for all the fabulous people we've met this year.

Saudi Arabian guests are on their way back home to Vancouver today after enjoying carrot pancakes, scrambled eggs, lemon blueberry muffins and grilled pears.

And now I'm packing for a week off on the east coast with my sister so we are closed this next week.

We'll the tourist season is slowing down and fall is definitely here. We have visitors from Utah at the moment who will be enjoying some carrot pancakes and sausages before heading up island to Nanaimo. They were thrilled to find that the Duncan farmer's market is on year round so they'll be stopping to enjoy that on the way. Muffins today are raisin bran with pumpkin seeds. Strawberries with cream first up.

Happy Sunday from Dayspring Farm where our Mediterranean eggs Benny are a hit this morning. Vegetarian? No problem. We've got a Benny for that!

Our guests say the sweetest things. This morning when I asked how the frittata was our dear guest from the Netherlands replied as he rolled up his sleeve, "I have goosebumps it's so good." So there you have it.
