Not every stay at Wallace River Ranch is about the domes... sometimes it's about slowing down and saying hello to the locals.

Meet our fluffy little Silkie chicken, one of our cheeky goats enjoying her favorite chair, Daisy the pony grazing in the wildflowers, and our Highland cow Cookie soaking up a quiet summer evening.

Guests are always welcome to walk along the animal pastures at their own pace. For a more hands-on experience, Eva loves sharing her knowledge of the animals and introducing guests to some of her favorites.

A few years ago, this was just an idea.

A piece of land with a river running through it, open pastures, and a dream that seemed a little crazy at the time.

When I look at this aerial view, I'm reminded of how much this place has changed and grown every single year. Sometimes the changes are big, sometimes they're small, but looking back at where we started is pretty incredible.

There have been wins, setbacks, long days, and more projects than we can count. But there have also been quiet mornings, sunsets over the fields, animals finding their forever home, and guests making memories they'll never forget.

From above, it looks peaceful.

Behind the scenes, it's messy, exhausting, exciting, and completely worth it.

And honestly? We're just getting started.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported this little corner of Nova Scotia. We can't wait to see what the next few years bring.

🏡 New Blog Post

What started as a simple window replacement turned into one of the biggest upgrades we've made at Wallace River Ranch.

Our Bear and Otter Domes now feature beautiful glass window fronts, bringing in more natural light and even better views of the countryside.
