✨ OPENING MAY 30 ✨
The Many Faces of Paul Shilling: Dazaunggee – Sky Buffalo
A Retrospective

“I have been haunted by faces since my early childhood—faces of the living, of the dying, and of rebirth…”

Shilling reflects on the ways we are taught to see ourselves, and the process of unlearning imposed narratives of shame and unworthiness. His work becomes a space of transformation, where expression opens pathways to healing and self-recognition. Guided by what he describes as “the great house of invention,” his imagery channels a spiritual dialogue between the inner voice and the world of vision.

Primarily self-taught and shaped by lived experience alongside studies at Georgian College in the early 1990s, Shilling’s practice continues to evolve through continual questioning and reinvention—keeping his work deeply alive, varied, and resonant.
