And just like that, another season at Ray’s has come to a close.

To everyone who spent a few nights, a week or the whole season with us, thank you for making this little place part of your life. We know how much your time away matters, and it means so much that you choose to spend it here.

We’re ready for a slower pace and some family time, so we’ll be taking our usual social media break until January.

Reservations for 2027 will open in February. Follow along or sign up for our newsletter through the link in our bio to hear the opening date once it’s announced.

Until then, thank you for another wonderful year. From our family to yours, we hope the months ahead bring plenty of good moments together. ❤️

Luna was a good sport about the ghost photoshoot, but she’d much rather have a few extra head scratches this fall!

Here are our local picks for checking off your September bucket list:

Corn maze: Campbell's Orchards is just a short drive from Ray’s and offers fun for the entire family.

Fall fair: Picton Fair is on this weekend! Now in its 185th year, this charming little fair checks all the boxes for a classic fall fair experience.

Lakeside picnic: The Charcuterie Co. takes care of the picnic setup, complete with delicious charcuterie featuring local selections. All you have to do is show up and enjoy!

Fall shopping: OAK CLOTHING CO. has some great change of season options, and if jeans are on your shopping list, they truly have something for everyone!

W**ery: Keint-he W**ery and Vineyards is on my list to try this fall. The reviews have been glowing, and I’m looking for a nice red to sip on these cooler nights.

Farm stand: Hagerman Farms, Laundry Farms and Lakeshore Farms Market are just a few of the local stands bursting with fresh, seasonal products!

Drive-in movie: Mustang Drive In PEC has new owners this season and, for the first time in a long time, is open in September.

Comfort food: Midtown Brewing Company just announced that its fall menu flip is coming! Whether you’re looking for something new or a tried and true favourite, these guys hit the mark every time.

Beach: North Beach Provincial Park is open until October 4th. Take advantage of the smaller crowds and find a peaceful spot all to yourself.

Scenic drive: The leaves will start changing soon, and the evening sunsets are beautiful. We suggest an after dinner drive to see The County in all its glory.

Campfire: Nothing beats a lakeside campfire at Ray’s Cottages. We still have some availability and won’t be closing the gate until October 12th. Take advantage of our low season pricing and check off your September bucket list!

🚨 Cancellation Alert: A last-minute lake escape just opened up! 🌊

Grey Door Cottage is available starting tomorrow, August 22 through August 30, with a two-night minimum for last minute stays.

This pet friendly, one bedroom cottage features a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a pullout couch in the living room, accommodating up to four guests. It also has a two-piece washroom, a private outdoor shower and a beautiful direct view of the lake.

Perfect for a last minute family or couples’ getaway before summer slips away! ☀️🐾
