This day pass gives you access to our outdoor swimming pools and access to our private beach on West Lake. Sip and savour by the pool with Gather’s poolside service.

We’re excited to welcome Lucas Smith as Executive Chef at Gather at Wander The Resort.

Lucas’ passion for food began early, working as a butcher at Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market. Immersed in a community of skilled artisans and surrounded by exceptional, fresh ingredients, he developed a deep appreciation for quality, craftsmanship, and the stories behind what’s on the plate. After honing his skills in professional kitchens and completing his apprenticeship, Lucas continued to refine his approach to ingredient-driven cuisine.

Most recently part of the culinary team at St. Anne’s Spa, Lucas is no stranger to Prince Edward County, with ties to the region’s vibrant winery and agricultural community.

With the County’s farms coming back to life, there’s no better time to explore new dishes, expand the Gather menu, and lean into the flavours that make this region so special. Under Lucas’ leadership, Gather will continue to offer a warm, elevated dining experience rooted in laidback luxury and local flavours.

Thank you for all of the love, support and understanding you’ve shown us as we’ve navigated the past two weeks following the April 4 fire. We are thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming back overnight guests on Friday, April 24.

To our guests, we truly appreciate the flexibility you’ve demonstrated in adjusting travel plans this spring - we cannot thank you enough.

To our first responders who arrived quickly, worked efficiently and spoke to us with empathy and kindness - thank you.

To our local community, your support has meant the world to us. Thank you to The Royal and The Drake who took in our guests who had to evacuate. Thank you to Creekside Cafe for immediately offering fridge, freezer and kitchen space. You have all held us up over the last two weeks, and we are so grateful to be part of this amazing community.

When will Gather reopen?
Gather will reopen to guests on Friday, April 24. Parts of our clubhouse will be unavailable as we continue restoration, however, thankfully our kitchen and dining room were unaffected.

When will Wander the Spa reopen?
Wander the Spa will remain closed as restoration continues.

Spa reservations will stay paused until we’re able to share more.

When will the resort pools open for the season?
Resort Pools are ready for our reopening on April 24. A welcome sign that summer is around the corner.

We want to inform our community that there was a fire earlier today in our resort laundry room. We are incredibly grateful to share that everyone is safe.

Our team acted quickly alongside the local fire department, and their swift response prevented the fire from spreading further. We are deeply thankful for their support and professionalism.

At this time, the resort will be temporarily closed as we work closely with a remediation team to restore the clubhouse. While our cabins were not affected by the fire, power will be shut down across the entire resort as we assess the situation, and the property will remain closed during this period.

We appreciate your understanding and support, and we will keep you updated as we move forward. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Today we say goodbye to someone who has had a lasting impact on Wander the Resort, having lead our team in Gather for the last three years. That’s right Wanderers, Executive Chef Justin Tse is wandering on to his next big adventure.

Justin first joined us as we were set to launch Gather, our on site restaurant. His creativity, positive energy and leadership have been felt and noticed in every meal, moment and special event - most notably, Asian Market Nights. We know that this legacy of culinary excellence and warm service that Gather has become known for under his leadership will live on, and we’re proud of all we’ve accomplished together. Join us in wishing Chef Justin well as he takes on new challenges and rises to new heights. We can’t wait to see what he does next!
