Having had only 3 owners over it's lifetime, it was originally owned by Jesse and Minnie Butt who owned and operated the store next to the house which was a thriving business in it's day, partially due to it's location being across from the train station at the time. The store has since been turned into a cottage. We are a 1.5 hr drive from St. The closest large center is Carbonear which is 25min away. There is a corner store/liquor store/gas pump 5min south in Small Point. The closest restaurant/take out is 5min north in Ochre Pit Cove. There are coastal hiking trails, biking/ATV trails, boardwalk, rivers/ponds/swimming holes and sandy beaches all within walking distance and short drives. The Manor:
