Women who work on the Water!

On July 17th it was Captian Shaelyn at the Helm of the Chad & Sister Two. Shaelyn is the only female whale watching Captain and one of the few women to hold a fishing masters license and run a lobster fishing vessel. Shaelyn is the 3rd generation of Graham family to hold the helm of the Chad and Sisters Two. Also on deck that day helping out was Stellla. Stella is the fourth generation of Gramham family to work on the boat. Amanda (one of the "Sister Two")was on the boat as well. She is a long time seafarer and now works with the Canadian Coastguard.

Another sunny morning and the diamonds in the Harbour are amazing, temp -1 C, wind Northerly 20 knots. Did you know, I can see the grass turning greener everyday and the spring flowers are so pretty and are a sign of what is to come. I am sure the wind has a bite to it today. Just to remind us it can still turn cold. The snow last evening was an eye opener that it can still snow hard enough to make Freeport disappear. Something To Ponder, Real happiness doesn’t come from getting everything you want. It comes from sharing what you have with the people who matter. That’ s what makes the world a better place to live. Spread kindness like it is, Poor man’s fertilizer.
