Wenzler's Landing We are located on 28 peaceful acres. On arrival, you can feel your tension melt away.Nature surrounds us. Birding is awesome in May and June.

We are upscale yet warm with fabulous accommodations and breakfast. Secure indoor storage for motorcyles. We have four beautiful rooms for short or longer stays. Prices begin at $180 per night depending on the room. Three of the rooms have a queen bed and the newest addition is a King suite- gorgeous with 6 foot air tub and walk-in shower. Numerous photos are on Tripadvisor and we have an excellent reputation and feedback. Breakfasts are delicious and varied and we try to use as many local and fresh ingredients as possible. Hosting now for 11 years, our guests visit from North America, Europe and beyond! With plenty of parking and a lot of common area to relax in, we are unique. Three rooms are on the main level, great for those not able to handle stairs. Our grounds offer gardens to explore and a half mile long trail - usually plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Essex County and Chatham-Kent offer a variety of parks, wineries and delicious restaurants.

It has been just over a week now since we closed the B&B. It still hasn't sunk in yet as we have been busy.
We took the train to Toronto last Wednesday to see a Jay's game and stayed overnight downtown, met my son and Randy for dinner and the game- a great time (Jays won).
We also buried my brother yesterday at the cemetery near my parents' grave. My niece and her boyfriend flew in from BC- it was a lovely, small, family ceremony. We all went to my daughter's after the ceremony and had some lovely family time together.
Having a few days for the family to re-acquaint- it's been great!
Enjoying the birds and the butterflies- and the yard.
Now to do some watering.....

Chilling on the back porch- our final night with some lovely guests who have all taken the ferry to Pelee Idland for the day. Loving the bird songs.

Returning from Leamington to Wheatley this evening my eyes were drawn to Mud Creek across from the harbour. There were well over a dozen egrets perching in the trees!! Very cool😊
