We serve beautiful food made from scratch, with most ingredients grown onsite.

We are a boutique group events and lodging venue, located 15 minutes south of Whistler and 25 minutes north of Squamish. Our exclusive west coast property has 34 guest rooms, unparalleled meeting spaces and vast gardens and farm, spanning over 20 forested acres.

We always need a few extra hands for some key property flip days - the role is casual, so you can work a little or a lot!

Our venue includes a farm to table restaurant, and we are committed to sustainable practices that include growing organic food, composting our waste, cellaring food over the winter, and reducing our carbon footprint.

This seasonal position's primary duties include:
- All aspects of growing: soil preparation, seeding, watering, pruning, planning, harvesting and packaging
- Ensure adequate amounts of produce is generated and delivered internally and to our partners
- Maintain growing & production records - Assist in the training and supervision of casual farm helpers
- Supporting tours, orientation and education around our growing program
- Preventative service and maintenance on equipment and structures

YOU are/have:
- Interest in organic agriculture and are passionate about sustainable and local food systems
- A self-starter with strong initiative, effectively managing your time, and working quickly
- 6 months + of farming experience, organic preferred
- Experience with crop rotation, pest management and soil health in a farm environment
- Physically strong: able to lift 50lbs, kneel, bend, lift and squat repeatedly for long periods
- Ability to withstand and enjoy working outside in all weather conditions from extreme heat to rain, mud and snow
- Willing to work flexible hours

Making Mother’s Day even happier (and brighter). Our incredible grower Claire and her talented team gifted the Whistler Food Bank with spring bouquets, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Do you like working outdoors? Enjoy variety, and being part of a fun hardworking team?

Job Duties:
- Maintaining the good health and presentation of gardens
- Pruning of ornamental trees, shrubs, weeding and bed work, plant care, fertilizing, mulching and soil amendments, and pest and disease control
- Work with Landscape Manager on plant installation and garden renovations when required
- Assist with the set up and running of a small scale flower farm. Including all steps from seed sowing to harvest.

Requirements:
- Must have own means of reliable transport to The Brew Creek Centre
- Must be able to work independently outdoors, in all weather conditions
- Must have strong work ethic and stamina to meet the physically demanding nature of the role (ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.)
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for landscape aesthetics.

Selection Criteria:
- Ideal candidate has 2-3 years experience in landscape maintenance and soft scape installation
- Knowledge of gardening practices and plants within garden zone 5 considered an asset
- Landscape maintenance experience on large, high-end properties considered an asset
- Knowledge of basic irrigation repairs an asset
