We are a seasonal camp opening early May until Mid October....

We're located in the Bay of Islands on the north shore of Lake Huron. Besides a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Bay of Islands is home to year round fishing and some of the most beautiful scenery in the entire world. If you are an outdoors person or you enjoy some good old family fun, Hilly Acres has it all.

Just a little snowy update on the Hilly Acres Boardwalk, new cribbing is in the process of being installed and the docks have been disconnected and tied in for their "long winter's nap".

Thank you to our wonderful Whitefish River First Nation Facilities team and the 2 local contractors that assisted with the dock repositioning.

Lots of excitement today as the dismantling of the riverside boardwalk begins!

Stay tuned for updates on the new and expanded Hilly Acres Boardwalk project....be prepared to be impressed come opening weekend in Spring 2026 :-)

As we come into closing weekend, we want to thank all of our wonderful guests and community members for your patience and support throughout our first season at Hilly Acres Camp & Trailer Park. We have been honoured to get to know the community and start building long lasting relationships.

Over the past year, Whitefish River First Nation (WRFN) proudly participated in the Save on Energy First Nation Community Building Retrofit Program — and the results have been remarkable.

💡This impactful initiative focused on upgrading lighting systems in band-owned buildings and community facilities. Through the program, WRFN successfully retrofitted 14 buildings with energy-efficient LED fixtures. Notable upgrades include the complete replacement of all community streetlights and the installation of new sports lighting at the ballfield and soccer field — a big step forward in boosting both energy efficiency and community safety.
