I am having all sorts of problems getting paid for rentals through VRBO (Vacation Rental by Owner). Their staff in Ireland where their payment system is managed by Vacation Rental Payment Support do not return phone calls in a timely way and there is extremely poor communications between the two companies. So a warning if you are doing business with VRBO. Their systems are archaic and the company has not properly trained their call centre staff. I've never had these kinds of problems with Airbnb which is hassle free.

He did not become BC wealthiest person by being a charity. His organization must have thought long and hard about the decision and the public and community push back. It will be interesting to watch how this story unfolds as it will reveal lots about what government, financial institutions and other lenders, and local people can do to save and create jobs.

Jim Pattison -- the wealthiest man in BC -- is cutting up to 500 jobs in Canfisco’s salmon cannery in Prince Rupert, a rural town with a population of 12,000.
