Sending our thoughts out to the community of Dawson City after the loss of the historic Westminster Hotel on Sunday. For over 125 years, the hotel and its infamous bar, The Pit, welcomed thousands of locals and visitors alike, becoming a gathering place filled with stories, celebrations, music, and memories that helped shape the spirit of the community.

Historic hotels are more than buildings — they are living pieces of a destination’s identity and hospitality heritage. Our hearts are with the ownership, staff, residents, and everyone connected to this iconic landmark during this difficult time.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the firefighters and emergency crews whose quick response helped control and contain the fire, protecting surrounding buildings and ensuring the safety of the community during a very difficult situation.
