Food Film Fest + Studios runs from October 19-25, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia has a full lineup of Halloween-themed movies all month, the calendar at Benjamin Bridge Vineyards | Certified B Corp is filled with a fun lineup of gatherings (including family friendly events like gourd painting), Martock hosts their Fall Fest the first two weekends of the month and the wineries are still slinging some of the world’s best wines. Make a day trip or a weekend of it and come enjoy the bounty of the season!

Four years in and our vision is clearer than ever. The August House is our love letter to the beautiful Nova Scotia we call home, to the guests who entrust us with part of their visit here and to life itself. For the second year in a row, we’ve been honoured as a hotel selected in the MICHELIN guide 2026. It’s a testament to the vision we hold so dear and, perhaps most of all, to the incredible team who show up every day with their hearts and souls to take good care of everything they touch. Our gratitude to every supporter, every team member, every guest and every partner for injecting your good vibes into the bones of a house we love so dearly.
