Ice fog on the lake, clouds piled high, and what looked like mountains rising out of the mist. We stood there for a good few minutes just taking it in. What a great sight to wake up to. ❄️🌫️

Slow mornings, done right. 🍂 This is the kind of morning we like to give our guests — apple pie oatmeal, roasted pecans, savory pan-fried ham, a little pot of fresh orange, and yogurt with a fruit purée that’s almost too pretty to eat. Almost. 🍊 No rush, just enjoy.

Any day you can walk on the lake is a good day. Randy, Jake, and I headed out this afternoon under the bluest sky, soaking up the stillness before the thaw takes it all away. These days are numbered. ❄️.

One of the best parts of calling the Interlake home and hosting guests here is the incredible local scene. Last night we had the best time watching Leaf Rapids perform at The Ship and Plough in Gimli. Live music, great atmosphere, amazing community.
