Not only do we catch some of the biggest walleye each year, we catch a lot of them - for 18 years in a row, Budd’s has more than doubled the amount of Trophy Walleyes compared to every other lake in Manitoba. Manitoba is home to the oldest Master Angler program in North America, going strong for over 50 years. The program considers a 28 inch (or larger) walleye a Manitoba Master Angler. Gunisao Lake is known by many as the "Master Angler Walleye Lake"

An astounding 78% of our 2019 guests caught a Master Angler. In addition to the world-class walleye fishing, don't be surprised if you tie into some Master Angler Northern Pike as well. Pike ranging from 36 to over 42 inches are common. 100 fish a day per boat is the norm, not the exception at Gunisao. Located 250 miles north of Winnipeg, Gunisao is a pine tree lined, pristine lake. The lake stretches 16 miles, with several islands to ensure safe fishing in all weather conditions.
