A beautiful day at GLL as we commemorated National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
September 29, 2026, we honoured the survivors, those who were lost, and their families and communities through a day of learning, reflection, and celebration.
A special thank you to the Kinew Youth Dancers for sharing their traditional music and lively jigging. Their performance was incredible and had our Residents tapping their toes and smiling from ear to ear!
Thank you to Leslie Kelemen for teaching our Food Services Manager how to make your amazing bannock. It was absolutely delicious, and we're certain our staff, Residents, and families will be asking for more!
Thank you to Lindsay McComb for showcasing your beautiful beadwork. Some of us were fortunate enough to take a piece home. Watch out, Lindsay—we see lots of orders in your future!
Thank you to Louise May for delivering the Land Acknowledgement and helping us begin the day in a meaningful way.
Thank you to Taylor Leclair for entertaining our Residents with your beautiful music. They truly enjoyed your performance.
We are also incredibly proud of our GLL staff, who participated with enthusiasm and embraced the opportunity to learn more about Indigenous culture and traditions.
