100+ Women Who Care River Valley page for River Valley chapter of 100+ Women Who Care Every member who registers is committed to donating $200 a year to a chosen charity.

100 Women Who Care is made up of at least 100 registered members who are committed to seeing their charitable efforts have a direct and immediate local impact. When each woman registers, she nominates one not-for-profit or charity group to be in the running to receive a donation. One week before each meeting, 3 charities will be drawn at random and will be contacted to prepare a short (5 minute) p

resentation on the night of the meeting. From those charities, everyone present at the meeting will then vote for a winner and $100 cheques are written out and donated on the spot to the charity receiving the most votes! If there is a tie vote, a coin toss or other tie-breaker game will decide the winner (i.e. rock paper scissors). Our River Valley Chapter will meet two times a year, and at each meeting members will write their $100 cheque

100 women x $100 = $10,000 (or more)

Meeting Dates -

November & April with dates to be determined prior to meeting. Meetings are from 7 - 8pm (doors open at 6:15pm) at the Best Western Plus Woodstock Hotel and Conference Center. Bar will open at 6:30 for some pre-social time!

What better way to kick off a Long Weekend than with news like this?!?!

The Women of the River Valley have now raised a Grand Total of $328,800 which has remained local and has significantly impacted approx 20 local charities!!!!!

Our next meeting will be held on November 5th at the Best Western in Woodstock at 7pm. See you There!

We are thrilled to announce that we presented Sanctuary House with a grand total of $35,000!!! Shortly after the presentation, we received an additional donation from a member who was unable to attend, bringing our official total to $35,100!!!

We are often asked why the final amount sometimes exceeds the total announced at our event. Our initial total is based on the number of ballots collected multiplied by $100. However, when we process the envelopes, we often find that members have generously contributed more than the requested amount. Whether this is due to a personal connection to the charity or other reasons, we are incredibly grateful for the extra support.

Please note that additional contributions are deeply appreciated; however, only your $100 donation is expected. Thank you for making such an incredible impact on our community!

We are excited to announce that the winner of last evening’s event is Sanctuary House!

While it was a difficult decision following three amazing presentations from the Andrew & Laura McCain Art Gallery, We've Got Your Back River Valley, and Sanctuary House, it is clear that all of these organizations are doing incredible work for our local communities. Learning about their daily generosity and dedication is invaluable, and we are proud to provide a platform for them to spread their message.

Thanks to the generosity of our members, 100+ Women Who Care River Valley raised over $26,000 in just one hour. With nearly 165 women in attendance—our highest in-person turnout to date—you deserve a huge congratulations for making this another successful event.

Please mark your calendars for our next event on November 5th at the Best Western in Woodstock. We hope to see our numbers grow even further; could we hit 200 members in November?

The "feel good" event of the year is happening tonight! In just one hour, your $100 contribution can change the future for a local charity. As many of you know from past experience, raising $10,000 or more typically requires an immense amount of time and commitment. Tonight, we will make that happen together.

We will hear from three local charities about the vital work they do in our communities, and one will go home with a significant donation.

Event Details:

- Location: Western Valley Multiplex, 698 Central St, Centreville
- Doors Open: 6:30 PM
- Event Starts: 7:00 PM

Have you been wondering about 100+ Women Who Care River Valley; however, not attended in the past? (or not for a few years...)

It is common to feel uncertain about what to expect, what to wear, or who to sit with. These "what ifs" often prevent us from attending events we would truly enjoy. This week, please help us spread the word about 100+ Women Who Care River Valley. We are not limited to 100 members—this event thrives when we have more women in the room.

We are a group of women from the River Valley, all ages, interests, shapes and sizes who have one thing in common - Making our Communities a better place!

To answer some of your questions:
-If you are new and are intimidated about coming alone, bring another friend OR let us know when you register and we will gladly find you some new friends to sit with!

-Wear whatever you are comfortable in; you will find the majority are in business casual; however, you will see everything from jeans to dresses. What you wear doesn't matter, that you are in the room does!

-You don't have to speak, dance or anything else embarassing. You simply walk in the front door, register if you are new, find an empty seat and enjoy the next hour of presentations. You will vote for your favourite presentation, leave your $100 in an envelope and find out who the lucky winning charity is. YES, it is simply that easy!

-When you fill out your registration form, this is simply to nominate your favourite charity and to leave us your contact info so we can keep you informed of what is happening and when our next meeting will be held.

We look forward to seeing you this Thursday at the Western Valley Multiplex. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the event begins at 7:00 PM.

Next Thursday, April 23rd we will be meeting once again to celebrate our hard working volunteers and surprising ONE Local Charity with $10,000 (or more!)

Charities have been chosen, and the preparations are being made for the event.

What we need from you:
-If you are unavailable to join, please send your donation via e-transfer to [email protected] or arrange for pickup/drop off
-Bring a self addressed stamped envelope & $100
-SHARE our Social Media Posts & Emails with your friends so we can ensure the room is FULL!!!!

We get it, life is busy.... While nothing is as impactful as being in the room; the importance of remaining an active member to ensure your favourite charity continues to be eligible requires your payment of $100 each meeting.

If you cannot make it, we understand but imagine if you are one of the randomly selected members for your favourite charity to present and we realize you aren't a paid member (insert a loud UGH!)

So, for this to NEVER happen to you, it is simple! Just e-transfer your $100 to [email protected] and we can ensure your tax receipt is mailed to you after the meeting. And best of all, your charity remains active!!!

Other options are reaching out to one of our volunteers to pick up your donation or dropping it off at EXIT Realty on Main St in Woodstock.

100+ Women Who Care River Valley is such a wonderful way of both helping and thanking these hard working individuals who do not do this for the fame; but for the betterment of our Communities!
